8 Ways To Build A Ministry or Business

By: Eme Paasch

Vol. 1 No. 1

The Victory 1 Project is a project providing information, resources and direction for building ministries and business. When I walk into churches around the country, I find some churches are thriving and growing while others have four major problems:

  1. Attendance Shrinking
  2. Younger Families Missing
  3. Lack of Youth Programs
  4. Boring Environments

What makes a ministry or business grow into a Rick Warren Saddleback Church or a Joel Osteen ministry? What makes a business boom? You may want to consider the following:

Building Blocks

  1. Evaluation: A ministry or business evaluates where they are now and where they want to go.
  2. Help: Ministries and business ask for help in putting programs together. Workers or helpers fail because of lack of direction in many cases.
  3. Desire: Ministries need more than 10% of the people doing 90% of the work. There needs to be desire by the whole church or business to grow and reach out. Desire is not created through iron fist rulers.
  4. Vision: Proverbs 29:18 “Where there is no vision, the people perish.” Ministries and business need vision of where they are and where they want to be. Vision on how to get to their destination. And most important, vision for why they want to grow.

I have titled this article, 8 Ways To Build A Ministry or Business because I want you to list 8 ways you can think of, to build a ministry or business? Then look at our four building blocks. List or comment in our blog what you think these 8 ways of building are and in our next issue, we will look at 8 things you can do now to build your ministry or business.

Evaluate your ministry or business. Ask yourself who has helped you so far and how could you get more help and from whom? Desire is not a form of lust here but a purpose like Rick Warren speaks about and teaches. Vision includes an overall picture of the future: Your ministry future; your business future.

  1. Hi, V!

I read your posts thus far and didn’t see mention of spiritual maturity among church members. What are your thoughts on it, particularly related to growth?

  2. Spiritual maturity mainly comes with experience. Let me explain. If new Christians fully understood the spiritual warfare Paul talks about in Ephesians 6, they probably wouldn’t get saved. Spiritual maturity is based on faith. Faith that God loves you, protects you, keeps you and walks with you. I read a great book on spiritual warfare called War On The Saints by Jessie Penn-Lewis. I don’t necessarily agree with all his doctrine, but it helps you understand spiritual warfare. You might want to download my free ebook at: http://www.chaapsinternational.com/ and let me know what you think.
    Thanks for responding.

  3. I tried the ebook, but the ZIP file said it was damaged or corrupted.

I was more curious what connections you see between spiritual health and church growth or decline. Your post shows the four “building blocks,” but I didn’t note anything particularly spiritual. Thanks!

  4. Thanks about the ebook note, I’ll recheck it. The ebook is a Flash ebook and should just open in a Flash viewer. Again, I’ll check on it.

About spiritual health and church growth – How can you expect church growth in churches that don’t nourish spiritual health? You read one part of the article. The article clearly says it is 8 Ways and only the first two are posted. You can read all of them now on http://www.chaapsinternational.com/churchgrowth.html which is my site. Church decline is because people aren’t being fed, they’re being judged, they’re being put back into bondage by rules and a host of reasons. I have to work at changing that.

When churches preach Paul’s epistles, people get answers and grow in grace and truth. So many churches are stuck back in Matthew or Moses.
    Thanks for the correspondence.

  5. Thanks! I’ll look at the full article.

The ebook downloaded as a ZIP file, and I couldn’t play the contents. I don’t know a lot about flash or I might be able to suggest something.

Thanks also for the comments on my own blog; it’s good to be challenged. :)

  6. Hey Victory1Project,

Couple questions and comments if you don’t mind. :)
Is this just a passion of yours and you know a lot about it, or are you taking a course or learning/mentoring under an Internet Marketer?

I am curious because Internet Marketing is something I have been studying for the past 2 years.
I have been mentoring and studying under people like Armand Morin, Stu McLaren, Jermaine Griggs, Anik Singal, Russell Brunson, Rick Raddatz, Yanik Silver, Alex Mandossian… etc.
Are these people who you are studying under as well? -If not, I’d HIGHLY suggest them. At the very least sign up for some of their free newsletters to just get some tips and ideas from them. That alone will be worth your time. ;)

Do you have a good WebHost? Have you thought about starting a website for your ministry?

If not, let me know. As a fellow Christian, I really want to encourage you in your mission and ministry! I’d like to help you get your website/ministry going if you’re interested! :D

You don’t need to feel compelled to take my ideas, I just know that I always appreciate some new ideas for my ministry and mission, and I thought you might as well.

Blessings from the Most High! Keep up the good work for the Kingdom and for Father.
I’ll be praying for success and extended opportunities to spread the gospel for your mission!
    Through Christ,
    ~Danica
